Happy navratri and durga puja wishing from me and my family to you and yours..The month of October is very special for Indians. After celebrating Ganesh puja in this month we gear up to celebrate Durga puja or navratri Lakshmi puja and Diwali. As we call it in bengal, in this time we feel the presence of Maa durga in the environment and we call this special feeling " pujo pujo gondho ". Yes, there is a special gala smell in the environment at this time which makes you calm and happy at the same time and we can cherish this smell only at the time of arrival of maa durga. Everyone is planning what to wear and where to go pandal hopping when "Maa" will be with us..And us food bloggers are gearing up with unique and traditional recipes..Some of us are experimenting with old and new..All in all festive mood is set not only in the environment but also in our kitchen..I am also planning to post some durga puja special recipes in this month and what can be better than starting of with a sweet dish?

With its rich golden white base flooded with reddish pink , green, rustic brown and sunny yellow fruits and nuts doesn't this khir look so tempting? It has some nawabi kind of look and very apt for festive season.
And to make this khir you need a royal kitchen as well.. :P..
